Does any one have tools that I can borrow for an hour or so that will cut an 8 inch round hole from a piece of sheet metal? It's on a 26 gage piece so it's not thick I just need something that's gonna give me a precise cut. I have a jigsaw and a good metal blade but I'm just afraid it's gonna give a rugged cut. Any suggestions? Will a RotoZip do a quality job? I'll delete this thread soon but was hoping to get some help. Thanks!
i've got some tin snips that may work. i'm not very skilled at using them but a pro could maybe give you what you want. what's it for?
Thin metal, tin snips. I also have them.

to keep my damn dogs from going through a cat door. they have already ripped apart the original plastic cat door and then when i reinforced it with a thick sheet of wood on both sides they started eating through it. figure metal might stop them. :dunno:
tin snips may work just not sure how clean of a cut i could make with them.

You still might want to find something to wrap around the edges, especially if the dog is going to be chewing on it. It's probably going to be pretty sharp..

Teach your cat to use the Dog Door silly... why do you have to have 2 doors?

Sweet! I'll call you in the morning. I already have the 12x24 inch sheets if that helps. Thanks Marty!
