I'm going to try to get the kiosk project finished in the first week of school.
We currently have all the necessary supplies; all that needs to be done is actual construction and installation.
I'll need to talk to Eddie Faircloth so we can use his workshop, but should be able to schedule with him for Friday the 9th.
At this point, I just need volunteers to help with this (cycling club members will be notified and conscripted if possible as soon as the term starts). Any takers?

i'll help. Are we still going to transport it to the site then put it together? I have my own set of tools necessary for this kind of work so let me know.

Yes. There are two of them. PORC is paying for supplies for the one going at the Pate trailhead, and the mtb club is paying for the one that is going at the U side.

The plan at this point is to put it together in Eddie's shop, since he is technically the person responsible to the U for making sure that it meets code specifications and is well constructed etc. It would probably be easier to construct at the trailhead, but my understanding is that he wants to be as involved as possible in construction.
I'll talk with him and see how much of it we can get away with constructing at the trailhead.
My family's truck is down with a bad differential, so I'll need the assistance of someone with a pickup truck.

The kiosk(s) is/are getting built on the 9th. We are meeting at 8:30 at the bike shop to load up the materials, and heading over to Eddie's workshop at 9:00 AM.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm going to see about the club springing for some pizza and drinks if possible for loyal volunteers. :-P

Total cost for all the supplies was $557.41, so half of that is $278.70. I can't remember how we worked out the permitting costs; I'll need to call Logan about that if no one else remembers since he was the one who handled that.

I already paid Eddie PORC's side for permitting. Will you be at the meeting on the 13th so we can get you the money?

Got the two kiosks partially constructed today. The roofs are fully framed up; we only need to put the particle board and shingles on, which will be done in the field. Plan to finish it next week, probably either Wednesday afternoon or Friday, which will require at least four relatively strong individuals to lift the thing into place.
Any volunteers?
