Just recently joined the forums and wanted to say hi to everyone here!
I'm a student at UWF and an officer in the MTB club. We are starting to get the club organized (well, reorganized, since apparently it was pretty active a couple of years ago) and definitely want to get involved in trail maintenance, etc with PORC.
I've talked with Carl some already about working on/maintaining the trails closer to campus (Coke Can, Valley, Bone and Gorge in particular) and basically want to work as effectively as possible with those of you who are currently doing trail maintenance. So, hello to everyone, and now I suppose I'll go and post in the Trail Maintenance section (planning a workday on Saturday). :)

It's great to see that the club is getting back together! We look forward to riding with you guys and helping each other on the trails. In the future would you or the other officers be interested in coming to our monthly meetings, bike trips, etc...?

Diomedes, we should have a list somewhere of who is helping out/assigned to trails already but that's mostly to help us know which trails need more help. You're of course welcome to trim and help maintain just about any of them out there you see needs help. Raking and pruning is always needed by anyone who wants to do it. So far the only projects we've tried to coordinate between ourselves are modifications to the route of a trail or building new features. That being said it's good to see some UWFers getting back into biking our trails.
you should bail on the work day and come to oak mtn. if you need a ride, i'm sure we can work something out.

Yes, I'd definitely be interested in meetings, trips, etc. I'm not sure about the other officers in the club; two of them are Seniors and are pretty generally swamped right now, but there are a few other people in the club who might be interested. I'll ask them.
Carl, I'd love to go to Oak Mtn with you guys, but I've already got a few semi-biking friends committed to helping with the trails, and couldn't bail on them. Saturday should still be fun though... I'm actually really looking forward to working on the trails :)
Hope y'all have fun at Oak Mtn!

No worries, just bring everyone out next Saturday (3/22) at 2:00 for the Turkey Run. The more the merrier.
