Stinky Creek & Board

Marie, Stefan and I put some of the skills we learned at the IMBA class to work on Friday. We did a re-route on the super sandy section of Stinky Creek that goes to the lake.
Seems like the turns were too tight and banking occured which caused the water to run down the trail pooling a big pile of sand at the bottom. We eased the turn and got rid of the bank, then re-reouted around the piled up sand.

We'll see if our new skills worked or not soon as it rained a good bit last night.

Also, ECC finally came through on the bulletin board project for the paved side! We wanted to put on up to announce trail maintenance, rides, and to post a list of trail riding rules. I took a look after I finished the ride yesterday. Looks like they did a great job!

I noticed the new bulletin board on the paved side has an updated map of the Timber lake trails. Does anyone have a link to this updated map. I would like to print it out but I can only find this one

Ladd added the Race trail to a JPG I sent him. I think he's still working on further updates. We'll post something on the board when there's a finished product that can be downloaded somewhere on-line.

Just remember that the only trails that are supposed to be out there are the ones shown on the orignal map. We are allowed to do repairs and re-routes. That is by order of Jackson Guard. Don't get us kicked out!
