Folks

This is just a friendly reminder that the January installment of the Timber Lake Off Road Time Trial will be held This Sunday, January 18 @ 8:00am. Couple of things I would like to see continue and change and I need your help. I would love to see the number of folks participating continue. The past 3 years of the program I don’t think we had 15 people for the entire season. The November and December Time Trials had close to 15 riders each. So please come out and give the course a go and set your mark if you have yet to participate or come on out and try to beat your previous time. I would also like to see an increase in Female riders. Most of the female categories are wide open because of little or no participation and I know we have some outstanding women riders. It would also be great to see another big turn out by our sister club to the West, PORC.

(Speaking of PORC, the February Off Road Time Trial will be hosted by them on their home trails at UWF. There is more to come on this in the February/March issue of the Paceline.)

I will once again use the metal sign holders and directional arrows to increase the markings on the course in an attempt to eliminate any confusion. Also if you have not seen the message board at the Ranger Camp Rd. trail head stop by and take a look. The handful of ECC members who designed and built it did a great job!!! Hope to see you Sunday morning. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at desteig@cox.net.

Over heard the lady at Jackson guard talking over the walkie saying it's $110 for being out there with out the pass. :(
