Phillip Carter (our Timberlake Jackson Guard contact) notified me that some jumps had been built under the powerlines on the Timberlake side. The structures were not authorized, and were not in an area that we are allowed to ride in. Jackson Guard will be removing them. I told him that none of the regular folks out there knew who'd constructed them and that we do not ride in that area.

Please please please, do not build this sort of stuff and do not ride out of the boundaries. If we create problems, Eglin WILL prohibit use of that area and we will have nowhere to ride.

i was talking to a guy that i ran into at books-a-million, he said he rides out there quite often, and had built some dirt jumps..

He said something about being near where they had berms for erosion?

Yes apparently Jackson Guard had been working on erosion control there. They really appreciated having that area torn up. The grass is gone and there is deep sand all around his jumps. They are very unhappy about it, and seem to suspect that our regular group built them. Tell him thanks a bunch if you see him again.

I will.
Talked for about 15 min. seemed to be a arrogant douche anyways.

The jumps.. are they off of skinny dip?
I found one small run of a few jumps today..

There were signs pointing towards them, but no words.

I also talked to the guy who built them a while back ( he was about to ride as i was driving out) and passed the word along the best way i could.

Thanks.
I think the big issue with the others was that they were outside the boundaries and the one was just huge. It was very nicely built...looked like a small dock. Someone put some $$ into it...bad idea.

We rode almost everything yesterday (ugh). I noticed that it has been dismantled.
