My wife's outta town and I have the kids for the weekend. If I can get my folks to keep my progeny on Sat and Sat night, I am in.

Any advice on gear to make sure to bring? Other than the obvious, like clothes, etc. Mark said at the meeting he will be there, so hopefully we will have a resident grease monkey.

I'm going to bail on the overnight, but trying to get a group organized for Saturday. What time are you guys planning on riding Saturday? I'm thinking about a morning lap, lunch, afternoon lap, then head out.

I have this dvd camcorder (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-DVD408-Handycam-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B000M3GZMC) and was considering bringing it. Im pretty sure I can fit it somewhat comfortably in my water pack if we want to take it out shoot some vids of certain sections. I of course am concerned about keeping it in good shape and not busting with it as it would cost me a bit to replace.

Anyhow, its 1400 effective pixel for video which is pretty decent for these little dvd-cams.

I like the "play it by ear" approach. I really don't mind riding in the rain and sometimes really enjoy it. Parts of Chicky the otehr weekend were a bit questionable though. hehe.

It is going to be cold and wet going north. The cold front is moving in from the nw. Both OM and Swayback are going to be in the 50's. Too cold with the rain. Soooo let's go to Tally; smaller chance of rain and temp in the 70's. I think a day trip would be in order. We can also ride the Red Bug trail while we're in the area.

Noo lets head back tward Tally and stay somewhere closer so we dont kill ourselves sunday... If we ride 3 or so hours in Ocalla and then eat dinner and drive an hour or two, we will be that much closer sunday.. Does this mean you will get your ass out of bed and leave at 6.30? It took us over 5 hours last time..

like eric mentioned its probably best to leave at 6:30 saturday, head straight to and ride in ocala that day, head back towards talli that night, get up and ride talli in the morning and then head back. we can play it by ear becuase of the weather but this should work out so we don't get home too late on sunday.

Ok, as our plans finalize, here's the plan. We couldn't go to Wetumpka, due to rain & cold. So we're going south. We're gonna drive to Ocala Saturday and ride. Spend the night and ride at Tally on Sunday. We should be early to the WallyWorld on Creaighton. I think 0630 will get us to Ocala in time for an afternoon ride.
