Rode 3 trails while down here at my "conference"
Santos, carter road and alafia. Got about 50mi in. The trails down here are a blast. Very technical from what we are used to in pcola. Still several more trails I didn't get to ride. Would make a good road trip, but not in the summer. Many "man made" areas on the trails that were very cool, now with lots of ideas for our trails(but not uwf). learned that state park trails are the way to go , ie. blackwater. Carl u need/must ride these trails for ideas with blackwater! Nuff ramblin, c y'all soon.

Stopped in tallahassee on way back today. Redbug is 3.5mi of green/blue trail. Got in2 laps. The 1st mile is tight curvy singletrack, the rest flows better and has some small elevation change. Worth checking out IF in close proximity. Damn, still 150mi to pcola

Nice pics.

Is that photo above from the main quarry...It looks a little like the drop in the pic below but hard to tell from that perspective.

thought so. they didn't have the bridge type stuff when we were out there.

did you get a chance to ride the stuff on the other side of the road? that's where the really big drops were but the trails, at least back then, were soso on that sid.e

yeah thats the vortex section. pretty technical stuff. lots of fun though. rode about 98% of the double black diamond trails. some was too sketchy. think the biggest drops of the trip where at carter road in lakeland. the stuff at santos was more free ride oriented.
