Hey ya'll... Moved in not too long ago from NC, living in Pace now. Are there any set weekly group rides? I'm a little out of shape right now so I'm not blazing anything by any means, but I generally hold my own. Just wanting to get to know the trails around here and meet some folks.

There are group road rides in Milton behind truly spokin on Saturday mornings at 830. There is usually about 20-40 riders of different levels of fitness. We ride the beautiful backroads of blackwater state forest. If you ride road bike you should make a group ride sometime. I know there is a few group rides at the trails but usually I cant make those so i am sure someone will respond here shortly to help ya out.

billy... typically how slow are the slow guys on the Sat ride? how much distance?
anyway to crispix... welcome to the area :)...
there's typically a good size group out at UWF for the MTB trail rides... the standard loop is about 9 miles and they usually "warm up" with the 4mile "games" loop...
if you keep your eyes open in here there are posts for people planning mid week rides... or heading out to other area trails...

Hey
There are groups that range from averaging 22mph to 14 mph. Usually the distance differs between the groups but lately its been 40-60 miles. Also there are options for shorter routes as well. You should come join the group on Saturday. It definitely beats riding by yourself all the time.

Welcome.
As Donalson said, many people ride on Saturday at different times it all depends on the weekend and the weather.
If you're looking to ride this weekend, post again later in the week saying so, and i'm sure someone will be willing to show you around.

threre's usually a pretty good group ride Wednesday nights at 5:00 (next week we won't need lights, woo-hoo!!) and Sunday afternoons about 2:00. Other than that, just keep an eye on this board.

Thanks for the help, gents! I've managed to get up to UWF a couple times now. It's the only two times I've been on a bike since last spring before surgery. Shoulder's holding up pretty well, though, so when I get back from Savannah next week I should be able to start hammering pretty hard hopefully. Down to one vehicle now for the wife and me, so it'll look like weekends and evenings, though. That Wednesday night sounds pretty good!

Instead of creating a new thread I figured I'd jump into this one. Just moved to the area two weeks ago to start flight school. Found out about you guys and met some of the members at Truly Spokin in Pensacola on Friday. I'm hoping to make it out to UWF for the next Wednesday ride. I am about to be fairly busy with flight school but I look forward to having a good group of people to catch rides with when I have free time.
