Some of the locals signed up for the Fools Gold 50 mile race. We plan to ride Conecuh tomorrow. We plan to be at Blue Lake heading out at or a little before 7:45.

Nope no race, just training. I plan to ride the entire loop. Last time we rode one side, came back through Blue Lake then rode the other. If I hold up, I may try to ride more than that depending on what Dan and Mark want to do. I managed a double loop at Oak Mountain last weekend, so I am hoping I can do a loop plus. My pace will be pretty moderate, I am sure that Dan and Mark will ride faster.

i might go next time if you give a couple of days notice. i've already got plans for tomorrow. i am trying to get some longer distance rides in that aren't on our trails.

We rode the Southern loop first. In the first few miles there was some stuff that we had to carry the bikes over, after that it was pretty clear. The trail was very grassy. I think they had probably mowed during the week sometime, though, so it was not too bad.

We had a hard time finding the trail that goes from Blue Lake to Open Pond. See we refilled after the first loop and took the road to Open Pond. Then found the trail back. With side trips, mistakes etc... we got in a good 36 miles.

Headed out of town after next weeekend for 2 weekends, but I would consider doing Conecuh again this Saturday. It is good rolling terrain and offers the op to do longer miles with no repeated loops. I'll see if Dan and Mark would be up for it.

i don't think i can go for the next few weekends due to family in town. i'll probably hit blackwater sometime this weekend if your crew is interested.

Looks like we will head up again. We plan to clean up some of that stuff at the beginning. So it should be nice for the next time. I hope they mow weekly, otherwise it is going to be a tough ride.
