I'm stuck out here offshore with my butt in a computer chair and feet propped up on the desk. So lets hear your story of how your epic ride went!

My epic day will result in a little bit of work, watch some football, steaks for dinner, and as always playing on the internet.

So you gals/guys are out there bbq'ing and having a good ole time. I'm now sitting on a platform with only one well flowing & two shut-in due to a broken gas compressor. We'll have mechanics out tomorrow to attempt to fix it. Until its fixed the only thing you hear running is a very quiet generator and not the 1680hp twin turbo V12 gas compressor that shakes the place. Oh well, at least I got the directv & internet... Oh and about the time you guys were starting the bbq I was napping. Yes, I'm really bored out here & very jealous of ya'll.

Too tired to type... Thanks Chris for sposoring even though you were stuck out on the platform.. We had a total of 106 total riders and lots of vounteers and spectators... There were 2 Subarus' fill back and front with toys, we had alot of people bring quite a few toys.. Im sure more info will get posted later as well as more pics... If you want to go out and ride 50 miles when youre off id be glad to come out and start the clock for you and come back in about 6 or 7 hours..

no need in wasting your time with me attempting to do 50 in a single day. I already know I don't have that much mojo. As for the sponsorship funds, just doing my part. Maybe around New Years we can get together as a club and I'll shoot for 50!

I will try for the 50 again soon. I did not sleep well las night knowing I quit at 43 miles. My body took a beating. After 43 miles I learned alot of small adjustments that I can correct for next time. My gloves sucked, my shoes felt a half size too small after 30 miles. I dont think there was a need for me to carry 2 liters of water on my back when theres a stop every 9 miles. I should of brought some advil. Pops has over developed calves. Stuff like that

for the mere price of one toy I got an increadible 115$ (retail) worth of schwag. I was one number off from getting the bitchin Oakleys Dustin donated. I won a sweet tool bag from truly spoken with a little tiny multi-tool with carbon fiber arms. the feed zone was awsome with Eric and other helpers feeding me like a king (Nat even made me a sandwich). It was really a party with bike riding thrown in. My kind of Party.

I'm going to make a public FTP you can upload to (or anyone else that has pics) on the PORC site....i'll post or PM once I have it setup.

That'll be great. I've got a few pics I snapped at the beginning of the 50 mile ride, and a few more from the start of the 20 mile group. I'll upload them when the FTP is available.

okay...try:

ftp.porc.org (ftp://ftp.porc.org)

username = porcer
password = a12345!

better to use windows explorer vs. a web browser.

use it all you want with photos/videos - just please keep it legal :D

I'll leave it up for a week or 2 and move pics over to webshots as they come in.

Thanks!!!!

How do we view the pics loaded to the FTP?

PorkSoda

I'm uploading about a dozen to the ftp site right now. Should be done in about 10 minutes.

Endo

excellent - thanks.

if you all can please still use the FTP even if you put em on another server cuz we would like to put all the pics in the PORC webshots just to keep em together for the long haul.

I uploaded some pics to the ftp site last night. If I open the site in IE, I only see the one file that was there before I posted mine. If I open it in Windows Explorer, I can see the original file, plus the 13 that I put in there.

Has anyone else uploaded any?
Is anyone else able to see all of them through IE?

I'm adding a few pictures that Melanie took.

Endo

on the ftp you have to click each one individually....but I'm moving them to webshots...I've already moved some of them over.

It's best to use windows explorer vs. IE or Firefox. If you don't see uploaded files, F5 should bring them into the view.

let me know if yall have any problems.

Hey folks, I just uploaded all my shots to the FTP site. They are 800x600, so they can load easier. I have the full file on a CD if anyone would like to have a print made. Email me back at flipperfrye2@aol.com for a quicker response. Note - I'm not always on the forums, nor the PC except at later times at night. Hope you like them!

Thanks Endo. for the ftp link. You are able to view my shots from that site as well as Webshots.com (use the search tabs for "album" of "porc epic 50").

Geico Skytypers.
It's 5 planes that fly side by side farting out little puffs of smoke to make words.
Pretty cool.
