Folks

TRECC (Trail Riders of Emerald Coast Cyclist) have started up the 3rd Sunday of the month off road time trials for 09-10 season. They actually started Nov 15 but I forgot to post. The course has changed this year and is a fast flat but tight course which is 7.5 miles. Another change is the course is better marked using caution tape to plainly mark any confusing spots. I know marking was a problem for riders not familiar with the trails last year. I think it is safe to say we fixed that problem.
It would be great to have the riders from PORC join us again this year. When you showed up last year that set the record for participation and the largest Off Road Time Trial we have ever had. Would like to have at least one day like that again.
The next ORTT will be Dec 20th @9:00 am. Starting location is the same as last year. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Ranger Camp Road trail head. Same place as last year if you made it to any of the TT. Don't forget that riding the Eglin trails requires a range pass available at Jackson guard. To get to Ranger Camp Rd from Pcola take I-10 to Crestview and take 85 South. Once you pass Duke Field continue south on 85 until you get to the next traffic light at the intersection of 85 and 123. Veer right on to 123 cutoff. Follow it until it rejoins 85S. Turn right at the next traffic light and go about 1 mile. Immediately after you pass the spray field on your right you will come to the General Bond cutoff. Turn right on to General Bond Cutoff. Follow it until the end and merge onto 187 (Lewis Turner). Go about another mile and make the next right, this is Ranger Camp Rd. You will see the bulletin board marking the trail head. Come in the trail head and stay to the right. The start is approx .2 miles in you cant miss it. Hope to see you there. If you need any more information feel free to contact me.
