SOB STORY NEED HELP [Archive]

Im sure alot of you who hang at TS know Ben... He also rides out out the trails on a red single speed... Well to start the sob story hes been working construction with his dad and they were both recent layed off.. In turn he was living at home and his parents lost their house.. His parents are now living on a boat and Ben is stuck now to living aon a 14' jon boat and couch surfing... To add to things today he was hit on his bike on 9th ave.. He is ok other than scratches and bruises, but his bike it trashed.. It was drug and nothing is salvagable... I put up money for a frame at TS and would like to enlist some help to build him a new bike for Christmas.. If you would like to help please take your donations up to TS or send me a PM... Also if you know of anyone hiring he is desperatly looking for work...

Ben was at the fish fry on Sunday & rode with Marty & Giggles. RIP Ben's bicycle aka his only mode of transportation.

Can we just go by TS and pay Mark some money towards the tab of rebuilding a bike for Ben? If we have parts to bring, what is needed? If anyone needs the help right now it is Ben. I know through all the crap he is dealing with, he is still positive and in good spirits.

for the time being tell him to go to my house and get the motobecane for transportation until he gets something going. You will need to print this out and give it to my roommate before he will let the bike go. I will try to call TS on wed after arriving in Beijing. Did the person who hit him get caught. Hope they hang him from his testicles and beat him with palm fronds. Jerk off motorists. That was too close to home He better start wearing a helmet, Let him know I am thinking of him and all of you as well. Marty

You guys are awesome, he is really happy about all the PORC'ers that helped him out. I talked to him last night and he was going with Joe and James to Oak Mtn for the first time and I let him use the BASS to ride, he is having shock issues with his bike. But you guys rock no doubt. Marty
