Im looking at getting a new wheelset for my Origin 8 which has a horizontal dropout with a bolt-on hub. There are many more wheelset options with a quick release hub but Im worried about the QR not being strong enough and sliping in horizontal dropouts. Suggestions?
Tug-nuts. These will stop the axle from moving.

I had Surly Tugnuts on my Rita, but still had some issues using quick release.. WTB makes a great SS hub thats bolt on, and lighter than Chris King.. Its not expensive and rode very well..

Eric is this the one your talking about... The MSRP is a little high for my budget for just the hub. I'd like to stay in the 400.00 range total.

The other option is to replace that old ss with a treadmill, you have got a nice new bike just begging for something new. Let me know, I can hook you up.

I ran quick release with tug-nuts. It took some time to get it set-up right but in the end i got it right. I have always told myself if I buy another SS wheel its going to be CK fun bolted or similar. I have ran surly bolted hubs on my 1x1 in the urban world without a problem.
