The newly renovated TB was a blast! The Tom Brown side has kind of a MTB style BMX track in the old open field area. There are series of fast burms and smaller rollers and table tops that leads into a few drops with larger burms. All of the old skinnys have been replaced with new ones as well as the addition of a nice teter toter. Most all the gullys have been decked in with wood or paved with flat rock so there are no eroded areas. The woodsy areas that sandwich the Tom Brown side are all well manacured and hard pack. The Cadalac Trail south of the BMX track has been cleaned up as well. There are several choices of trails between advanced and intermediate to choose from and all are fun. The ridge side of cadalac has some technical areas to clib and decend as well.. Its all kind of like 3 trails in one.. This trail is moslty hardpack and no sand to be seen. Showers and Bathrooms onsite its well worth a trip.

How long are the trails, individual and combined?

Yep, what he said. You can see where they put the 30k into it. Ride the first 3 miles of pump track style trail again at the end of the loop and you should get 14-15 miles out of the entire system. Worth the trip!

Went to Tom Brown today for mothers day. Worth the trip. Bike wash, plenty of parking, well marked, ice cream man ( if you are into that ) bathrooms, you know, the small things in life. Nice weather, great trails and the locals say that the city is having Trail Dynamics recondition another trail system on the south side of town ( not far away ) and rumor has it that Red Bug is next. When finished, that will be three good trail systems within minutes of each other and if they do the job that was done at Tom Brown, it will be with it.

Melanie and I rode at TB this past weekend. We did all of the Magnolia Trail, Loblolly, and Cadillac Trail. We ended up with just over 10 miles. We had a few locals to show us around. It was a great day on the trail, unseasonably cool with a nice breeze. Trails were very smooth and well designed. Aside from the few "expert" designated areas, the trail is not very technical so it would make a great place to take the family. The guys we rode with told us about the Monson Trail System that's getting a lot of work right now (I think that's the system Grumpy mentioned above). Once they get done with that trail, Tally should be a good place to grab some off-road mileage. Here's the gps info from the Garmin:

Great info Dave, I have only ridden that trail once with Brendan O, we had a great time, we finished up just as the rain was on top of us but the course was alot of fun and riding along the lake was really nice, a two thumbs up for a two lapper at high speed. Good times!!
tom brown has improved a lot over the years. Kudzilla is a sweet new downhill flow track along with several cool technical sections. Cadillac is also worth the trip. the local say there are 60-80 miles of riding connecting greenspaces around town.
