trying to use a part i already have...& i keep getting different instructions on this subject on the internet - so though i'd throw it out here for some sound advice.

on a bottom bracket that's too long, is it better to:

1) screw the drive side all the way end, leaving the plastic cup exposed (which is how i have it now - see photos)
2) screw in the non-drive side (plastic cup) all the way & leave the drive side exposed
3) try to leave both sides equally exposed

if all of the above are really bad ideas (as in, it could cause some type of catastrophic situation), would useing spacers on the drive side so nothing is exposed keep me from having to spend $$$?

THANKS!

Spacers or just call Mark and talk to him about it.

Just use a bottom bracket spacer on the drive side, torque it down and tighten the non drive side to match. You won't need a spacer on the non drive side as it has no flange to hold it.
