it looks great we just hope that the U doesn't come down on us for it. we would like to have more signs like that but need to get them approved first. does anyone on the forum have some pull with the university? it would be nice if we could get some of the small projects approved quickly and had a liaison between us and UWF. are there any UWF mountain bike club members willing to help out with this? they would probably be more willing to listen to you guys than an organization outside of the university.

I can redo it if they make a stink about mixing UWF and PORC on the same sign.. If I thought about it more I could have put on there just UWF and sign donated by porc.org.. But im sure they dont want riders gettng lost on their property lol..

I don't exactly know who to talk to about signage issues, but Tanner will be around all summer, and he is on several committees. I'll try to drag him to the next meeting and get him more involved on the PORC side of things. [edit] (Tanner is club president, for those of you who don't know)

Talked with Tanner today, and it sounds like he will be able to help with this particular issue. Told him about the meeting, but I think that he has work until 8:00 that evening, so it is unlikely that he would be able to make it. I'll definitely try to get him to join the forums though.

Even if the Elders would call a special meeting so we can start getting things going with the U I believe it'd be worth it. I want the U to either work with us or get behind us on what we're trying to do here. Even though we are doing this to benefit us the U benefits from it and since it is so they should at least support us some.
that sign is great and very low key. the only thing i saw wrong with it is the red loop should say 9 miles instead of ? miles. that of course is my fault since i made the maps. how much time and money did that cost?

Didn't cost anything to make other than the brackets and zip ties. (wasnt sure about nailing to a tree in a nature preserve) Would not cost anything to redo it.. We can re-design it at the meeting and I can take it down and print and laminate a new one right over the top. I can also make some new trail name signs too if desired.. I Printed a few full color porc logo T-Shirts on the garment printer this week, they came out awesome. Printed one on dry fit as well and it turned out great. It only prints on light garments in full color, but solid darks work on reds blues ect. I'm going to order a few cheap jerseys from nashbar this week in white and grey to print and see how they turn out. I saw the link to one on the web that was on an El Cheapo T-Shirt for $21.95 plus shipping. My buddy that owns the printer is on 29 (Sign Gator Inc) will print shirts 1 at a time for the same no shipping on a better quality T-Shirt as well as larger logos if desired, or the price goes way down the more thats ordered.. The kicker is you can design your own. Put what ever logos you want on it and where you want it. And like a said can even print on dry-fit and im going to try the jerseys. If and one has vectored files please let me know, we can put together a catalog and and guys can design their own shirts.
