Prescribed Burn IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

I just received an email from Kelly Russ they will be burning the section north of the swath tomorrow Dec 3rd. Cambodia will be CLOSED! At the meeting they Department of Forestry said the only section closed off to use would be the one they are burning that day. The trails would reopen the following day and there would be little trace other than burnt undergrowth.. This should not effect the EPIC Saturday... I have a call in the my Forestry Contact if I have any other info I will pass it along.

I spoke with the person in charge of the burn, he assures me we are ok for Saturday, and may have access about 3pm tomorrow for Cambodia.. No other sections are affected.

They will be also working that section Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of next week.

Could they have worse timing? Everything will turn out fine though and it will truly be an Epic event! Thanks for all of your hard work. :tup:

They will be burning Cambodia friday, monday tuesday and wednesday. That is a 20-30 acre block to be burnt over four days. They have to burn because its there job, but they are taking all things into consideration and doing it in a way that will have minimum effect on everyone involved. They told us at the meeting that they would not effect the Epic with the burn and I think we owe them much thanks in holding true to their word. We have been assured that we will be able to proceed as planned with saturdays festivities.
