Yea, but you missed the "Girls Of UWF" Playboy shoot that was this weekend. My bike seat will never be the same.

got in 25miles at OM on saturday with perfect weather. would have done more but i was whining like a little girl and felt my monthly lady thing coming on. ate drank and was very merry that evening. saturday hit up cracker barrel and off to swayback for a great ride. hope to do it again soon.
I guess that the god of Oak Mountain Park hates me. I have had tire failures, flats, broken bikes, and of course_crashes_. This time, I was JRA and just fell over after hitting a root. I hurt my elbow, hip and ankle when I hit the deck. I always have dreams and hopes of a non-eventful ride at OM. I just know that it'll be NEXT time! yea

I dont dont think any of us had energy to chase the playboy playmate of the month from one side of the bed to the other after Sat.. Good riding thats for sure.. Anyone have sudjestions for riding near Macon Georgia? Have to go up there for Work Wed and Thurs.. I figure to be done by about 3 or so WED and will have room and be off thursday.. So If there were some good places up there I will hit the trails Wed Night Thursday Morning..

One of my good friends, Ryan, lives and rides in Macon and I've ridden up there several times. Here are my suggestions for trails in that area:
Macon
Children's Home Trails - these trails are built on land around an orphanage in Macon. These are the only trails that I have actually ridden on in the Macon area. It is about a 7 mile loop, mainly flat, fast trails. Relatively easy riding.
Dauset Trail - these trails are about 30 min north of Macon in Jackson, GA. Never ridden there but Ryan tells me they are the best trails around. I've been told that these trails are kinda like a spider's web so you may want to make sure you have plenty of time to ride these in case you get lost.
Thompson Factory Trail - As in the Thompson on the seatpost of your bike. These trails are the testing grounds for Thompson bike parts. They are about 20 min. south of Macon in Warner Robbins. I don't know much about these trails, but have heard they would be ranked between Dauset and Children's Home Trails. You can also, apparently, tour the factory while you're there.
Within 2 hr drive of Macon
here are the trails that I have ridden within a 2 hr drive and how i would rank them. You can search for the trail reviews on mtbr.com for more info.
Atlanta area
1. Chicopee Woods
2. Blankets Creek
3. Yellow River
4. Conyers
Clarks Hill, SC (just over the state line from Augusta, GA)
1. Fork Area Trail System (FATS) - If you drive anywhere within 2 hrs, do yourself a favor an go here. It is 34 miles of roller coaster-like trails that will have you grinning ear to ear the whole time. The only catch is that they close the trails when it's raining and sometimes even a few days afterward until the trail drains. You can check their forum for updates on whether or not it is open.

I saw your crash, wasnt nearly as cool as me running off one of the bridges at OM
Arrowhead about 5 miles west of Macon. Good ride. I like Dausset also, it's a nice ride. It's all downhill. You'll love it Eric.
