i'm going up again this weekend. i'm almost done with the 3 mile loop, maybe 1000 feet to go.

Carl, so what's up with this project. Is this all new singletrack that you are putting together? I used to ride a five mile double track loop up there that went around a lake.
My wife and I are buying a home off of Avalon Blvd soon (what a crapping process this is), and am interested in helping out since now I have an interest in it of course.
I have kind of committed to helping UWF clean up the boardwalk area on Sat. morning but........I have done alot of maintenance out there lately so I would prefer a change of scenery.
Where exactly would we meet you? What tools should I bring? Nevermind, dumb question, I'll bring them all.

i'm building up off of redrock road, about 15 minutes north of milton on munson highway. if you want to ride with me, i can meet you at the dairy queen on scenic hwy and i-10 or you can follow me from there also, just let me know. or you can meet me at the trail head on redrock road. i try to get there around 9:00 and i work until about 2:00. as far as tools, an ax and loppers work well. you can bring your bike and ride the stuff that's already done. leave your karma at home.

I read a little bit of your blog and the previous post. Can you give a quick description of the type of trail it is turning into? Is is like the UWF trails?

One of these weekends I will come help out. I helped cut/build quite a few miles with my team in college.

the terrain is about the same as uwf so the trails will be similar. since we have permission to build trails in blackwater, i want to do all i can do to make it an attraction. i want to do more than what we have at the u. it will be a few years before it gets to that level.

I want to invest time where it will pay off. As you can tell I love to work on the trails as much as riding them.

I got suckered into going and looking at houses with my wife again. Of course at 10:00am. We are having a bit of difficulty with the one we put an offer in for. So we need to clear that up with realtor and look at some other options.
I will come out there as next time you are going, assuming the same thing does'nt happen again.
