View Full Version : the chute
the chute has held up very well even after all the rain. good job.
i rode my fix on treehugger yesterday and worked good but it had dried out quite a bit. we need another monsoon to really test it.
those sandbags should help in that soupy spot. did you get those bags from the stash or were these new?
they were from the secret squirrel spot plus two that i had. they were actually outside the cooler buried under leaves. i didn't look in the box.
btw, i may do a ride saturday afternoon and i'll bring my gps and map the hangman loop. i'm not for sure yet.

dont you have the hangman loop GPS'ed out?
Here's a pic of the entire loop. I couldn't figure how to put the Google Earth file on the forum. http://porc.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=7&stc=1&d=1204385563.

nice maps. did you venture into some new territory on that gps in the nw corner?
for google earth, you should be able to attach a KMZ . If you use a different format let me know and i can add that to the list of uploadable files (or you can use the ftp). let me know if you have any trouble.
That's where u and me checked out the new trail section. The line is thicker because we went out & back on the same path.

Again, big thanks for all the work you've done on the Chute. It's now a SUPER fun trail to ride again. Though the first entry into the end section is horrible now. I almost had to stop but I just cleared it and kept truckin. Looks like it washed out.
Well good news for you. Go ride it again, sunday @ 2:00 if you can. I re-did that whole section, now your only problem will be TOO MUCH SPEED!
Good job Rob. The Chute is a gas now. I like that banked corner! I almost collected a group of walkers when I came bombing down today. They scattered like quail. Me, "have a nice day". :DThere is a blockage before Crist Falls. I cut several of the smaller trees, I wasn't going to attack that big tree with my little camp saw. I feel this one prolly needs Mr. Chainsaw.
