rode thompson and mouse branch. wife chickened out. very flowy and fast. not technical at ALL. not very aerobically challanging either the "U" is much more difficult. trails are hard packed clay with no roots and very few rocks( vey smooth). with both trails together i rode about 15mi. kinda like a roller coaster. pretty good scenery. ate shit on the last part of thompson. was going too fast(if there is such a thing) for my own good and went off the trail. most of the sections i was 25mph+ on the tight flowy areas. could be ridden MUCH faster if you knew the trail. currently in the ALT bought to ride blankets creek trails.

blanket creek.
very nice system.one dollar to ride. well maintained. rode with a 1stimer using my wifes bike. did the beginner 1.2mi 1st. very fun. after seeing the condition of the easy trails etc.. i knew the rest would rock. next an intermediate trail. bout 3.8 miles with significant/ excellent tranistion into more difficult up and down hill. finished off with another 1.5mi of easy/fun trail. cant wait to go back and hit the 2 advances trails in the am, looks pretty tough:D

Let me know the next time you pass through the ATL. I would be happy to meet you at Blankets, and be willing to show you some secret trails near Stone Mtn. If you get the chance to check out Chickapee in Gainesville you should do that as well.

I rode the Tsali [B]left loop[B]earlier this week. It was around 11 miles with 1400 feet of climbing. Fontana Lake is beautiful and the changing leaves made for very scenic ride. The trail itself was well maintained. Some rocks and roots here and there but not very technical. The ride along the ridge of the lake is epic. I think this trail is my favorite of anywhere I've ridden.
Tsali is very fun. Since horses are also on the trail, it's not very technical. I love:D the swoopy downhills. Ya got to ride it 2 days in row though cause bikes and horsies swap trails every other day.
