nah, leo gave me the hook up on some sx-4's.
and it's setup for an 8 speed, and i only have a 7 speed cassette, i've been looking around but i think i'm going to just wait and upgrade both cassettes and chain when i've got the cash, b/c all of it's worn like hell.

I was debating it. I'm thinking Christmas is going to bring some huge upgrades. Leo had said he had a crankset, i'm going to own that man my soul before it's over with.

Yeah, to add to it you will have a new wheel set and a 8 speed thingy in the next couple weeks. Til I have the Swagman rack sold and get my new Mavic wheels you can Jerry rig it to run on a 7. I am winging my 9speed X9 on a 8 speed.

as i said, i will owe you my soul.
Jerry rig, lmao.
That's what i had thought.
I got it on there just the fun of adjusting!
I have a slightly used 8 speed cassette and matched chain I'll give you if you can use it. In fact I have a couple of them if anyone else is interested.

I could use the chain, but leo said he's got a wheel set with an 8 speed on it.
no problem...let me know if you can use it.. depending on the age of the cassette, you may need the matching chain since they tend to wear together... but if the cassette has little wear you should be G2G.

alright appreciate it man.
is there something different between a 7 speed chain and an 8 speed chain?
i think they are the same but i i'm not 100% on that. places that sell them online list them as 6,7,8 speed....http://www.blueskycycling.com/product3821_35_-2008-Sram-PC-850-Chain-w--Powerlink.htm

alright, thanks.
Does the 8 speed you have have a master link?
i'm thinking it's a Shitmano chain but i'll check tonight or tomorrow and post.

I cant seem to get the derailer in the back to shift right it either skips a cog going up or down.

Haha i gotcha.
I've gotten it to shift very smoothly through certain cogs.
Going Down i skip 5-6th.
Going up i skip 4-6th.
So could i get that cassette and chain from ya. :D
sure can....let me know the next time you are over this way.
