I attempted to get IMBA or NORBA affiliate information from our local cycling club as we are supposedly affiliated. I wanted to see about getting an IMBA visit a year ago, but got no response regarding information from the board and hardly anyone expressed any interest or enthusiasm for the idea.
Carl has really accomplished a good thing by getting IMBA over here. Let's take advantage of this visit to the area to learn how to sustain our trails. Sign up!
In the past couple of years I have tried to organize some trail work and we had a decent turn out a couple of times. We did some re-routes on Speed Demon and on the trial that goes to the lake, Regina Cornwell made some new signs etc... Hopefully someone will step up to the plate and organize something as I have decided to retire my efforts. I have let the people that ride at Timberlake know that this forum is available so that those who do not ride with that group can join in.
Maybe some of us can go over to help the UWF folks when they do trail work or join PORC to thank them for supplying this forum and for sponsoring the IMBA visit.
