Folks

As just a reminder this Sunday @ 8:00 AM, we will be conducting the first Timber Lake Trails, off road time trial of the season. The starting line is just in side the trail head from Ranger Camp Road (Approximately .25 mile). There is a little change this year with the course. I have added approximately 2 miles making the course 6.5 miles give or take. We will start from the same place as years past and turn left on to Carbo. Once you complete Carbo you turn left and go down the hill and at the bottom of the hill you will make a right turn. You will know do Speed Demon backwards and return to the same point you started. I was out on the trails this morning and I marked the course with florescent pink paint on the trees. I’m hoping for a good turnout and look forward to seeing what kind of times can be achieved on the longer course. If you have any questions as usual feel free to contact me.

How far apart are the marks and predominately right or left?

Just wanted to say it was great seeing all the guys from PORC come and share in our little off road time trial. You guys are welcome any time to join us and if you have any questions about our trails feel free to contact me @ desteig@cox.net. By the way we will hold the next time trial the 3rd Sunday of December at the same time so spread the word.

Also to answer the post about the markings. Sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier but this was the first chance I had to return to the forum since my original post. I only had one can of paint so I had to mark it sparingly. Most of the marks are at points of confusion or turns. As far as which side of the trail, I just tried to use a tree I felt was in the most direct line of sight.

Hey that's cool that so many attended. Sorry I did not get out there. I was in home improvement mode this weekend and did not check the board. Glad you made use of it Dan!

Wow, I never expected the trails to be so nice.. Thanks for the efforts in putting this on. We went and rode another 2 or so hours after the time trials and it was a most enjoyable day! Post the next one a week or so in advance so we can pump it up some.. Maybe we can bring a lil PORC swag with us for the winners.. Thanks Again!
