Default Need Help

I got some materials to fix the broken benches and bike rack at the trail head. I need a couple of people to help fix the stuff next weekend. Saturday or Sunday whichever works.

we need to do some thing about treating them more than they are now because I noticed they just rotted to nothing. I guess paint would work. any ideas?

Landscape timbers don't last forever. Paint would probably help.

they weren't landscape timbers. those were treated 4x4's that rotted below the ground line.

there are several grades of pt lumber. stuff that touches the ground needs to be the more treated kind.

Benches and tables have landscape timbers. The bike rack was a 4X4, but it had a Knot in that end.

We could periodically spray them with Thompson's water seal. We did get over 5 years out of them this time.

I've used latex paint on fence posts with good luck.

Carl you mentioned being able to make it on Sunday. If we did it on Sunday what time could you be out there? The reason I ask is because I am seeing a 50% chance of rain on Saturday right now. That may change.
