let's just drop some heavy (4 man) logs on that section. Even if there is a few of them they wouldn't be able to move it without 4 or more people.

The vote idea is nice but unless you were out there helping with TM or clearing Piggyback your vote shouldn't count. Don't help and you don't get to have a choice in this matter.

Oh. Well.
That can also be done.

I'd be down for getting together and working on it with a few folks over winter break.

Can we make a wider teeter totter that some of us can acually do. I can't muster up the strength or speed it takes to do the one on carls trail. But since alot of us start our ride on the north side of Pate, we have the energy at that point to practice bunny hops, teeter totter, etc. I think that would be a good place to put those sort of things. I agree it would have to be difficult to an extent so people would still use the Piggy Back extention.

What ever we put there they are just going to find a way to F with it.. I think the new trail is ridden in to the point that everyone that rides that side on a regular basis uses it anyway.. I see the point behind blocking it off, but If we keep fighting it they are likely to come a long and dig a 10 trench at the end of our trail.. I think the regular riders care enough to continue to ride the new trail... If theres a trail that needs to be ridden in its Blackwater.. Maybe we should just block off the entire U for a month??? I'm just as guilty as anyone for not riding out there.. We need to plan a Blackwater event after the Holidays.. Mark said it right BW is eventually going to be our future and I know its tough to get a group out there, but after the showing at our last trail maintainance and the recent growth of the club, we owe it to Carl for a TM day and a big ride.. He has done alot for the club bringing IMBA here and Spearheaded an entire trail system that will eventually be the future home of PORC..

yea that's a major reason.....and to keep the trails from becoming a confusing mess for riders not as familiar with the trails...spaghetti trail networks are no fun...one of the biggest complaints about UWF by folks are that the trails are shortcutted too much and confusing. And honestly, new trails suck after being opened up...they are lumpy, soft, and awkward. CrossWord got packed in fast because people had to use it...if anyone remembers Bone, it took years for it to get worn in cuz people skipped it...but now that it is packed in, everyone rides it.

I think the teeter idea is a good one...maybe we can do that in conjunction with some proper signs to reduce the confusion...and maybe by that time PiggyBack will get the traffic it needs.
