Default Manitou Minute 100mm 29er???

I came across this deal and am thinking it would be a good Christmas present to myself. Should I go for it on my origin 8 which is rigid right now? I can get this for the same price as a Rigid carbon which I had been thinking about.

The product description says.........

Specify traditional QR or 20mm throughaxle dropout

Im guessing "QR" means quick release, which I have.

Default Yep

but the drop down only has 20mm......I'd have bought one myself if they had the QR's.

Please let me know if I am missing something on this one cause it's a smolkin' deal!

the price is awesome... but... they only have 20mm TA models... i was looking at them but when I figured the cost of a new hub and rebuilding my wheel to do it it just isn't worth it to me... but if i had the money i'd jump on it... 20mm ta is supposed to be much stiffer which is good for bid dudes...

so if you are up to having a new wheel built... or if you have a hope pro2 hub (they are convertible from 20mm to qr)... go for it.

Im really starting to like riding rigid; and even thinking of getting a carbon rigid fork. I would like to have the same stiffness but a little smoother ride if that makes any sense. Has anyone rode one

Nate you didnt include my last sentence in your quote where I said I could buy the Manitou for the same price that I could buy a carbon fork for. I thought the Manitu was too good of a deal to pass up and wanted some feedback. Sorry to confuse you

Ask Mark if you can ride his Rita, I just gave him my 08 Manitou just like the one you are looking at.. I was a good fork, but it has a rattle on the 08 Model that bugged the hell out of me.. MTBR said it was normal and didnt effect the performance, but the noise was too much for me to stand.
