Jennifer and I rode through alot of N O with no issues. Could something happen? Sure. My personal opinion so far is that it is one awesome city to bike in. Quite a few single speed courier types riding around there too. Anybody feeling strong enough to ride one gear all the way there.

You could do a 2 day ride to Biloxi gamble and ride home. Might be safer.

not for your wallet

a gun would be completely useless on a bike unless it was mounted on the bars.

Its not N O that I would be worried about, it's that last little stretch getting there. N O would be great, sounds like fun.

If you were to go, would you want to camp or stay in hotels? There are plenty of campgrounds and/or places to camp along the way and probably wouldn't be too much of a detour to get to a hotel.

Hotel. I don't have much means of carrying much on my bike.
